Collecting Inclusive Stories

Why are we collecting?

The Jewish Museum London’s tells the story of the history and heritage of Jewish people in Britain through universal themes of migration, family, faith and culture. We do so through exhibitions, school workshops, events, family programmes, media partnerships and more! As a museum, everything we do is based on the collections and images we have – so, what images do we need? Images that represent the Jewish community in all its diversity. Images that represent you!

We are collecting images that represent Jewish identity – whatever that means to you. That can be images of your favourite festivals and special days: Hanukah, Rosh Hashanah, Shabbat, Purim, Sigd and more. That can be images that represent special Jewish values: Tzedakah, Chesed, Brit, Teshuvah, Tikkun Olam and more.
