Judith Kerr and Michael Foreman come together to talk about the inspirations behind some of their most loved books.

They will discuss their writing for children on wartime experiences, why it is important to pass on history to children, and the emotive power of telling stories.

Judith and Michael have enthralled and inspired generations of children with their bestselling novels and illustrations, which include classics such as The Tiger Who Came to Tea, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit as well as War Boy and The General (written by Janet Charters).

The conversation will be chaired by Erica Wagner.

We encourage visitors to arrive from 6pm to give enough time to look around ‘Astérix in Britain: The Life and Work of René Goscinny’ and the other museum galleries, should they wish to do so.
