Questioning the Collection
Our Research Centre is located on the 3rd floor of the Museum and hosts two display cases showcasing recent research into the collection.
In 2022, the Jewish Museum London started a full audit of its collection involving checking objects for accurate measurements, conditions and locations. Throughout this project, many curiosities have been found, including items that lack information. These are brought to a newly formed Collections Advisory Network, made up of experts from across academic disciplines, who discuss, review and offer a new perspective on the collections.
These objects and their captions reflect some of the research discussed during these meetings.
