Remembering: HMD 2024
Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) takes place each year on 27 January, marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp.
The international day remembers the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people killed under Nazi persecution of other groups.
Several items from the Jewish Museum’s collection are on display at Bradford Reform Synagogue connected to the establishment of HMD, survivors, and memorials, allowing us to pause and remember.
