5 January 2015 - 15 February 2015
Art student Gideon Summerfield spent the latter half of 2013 meeting and drawing these portraits of Holocaust Survivors.
Each survivor is captured in biro pen in Gideon’s beautiful detailed style and they are shown holding an object that is important to them.
Gideon Summerfield said; “It has been an extraordinary privilege to learn from people now in their 80s and 90s about their experiences as children and teenagers, how they survived the death camps and the Holocaust. For me as an 18 year old, it has been a formative, and at times traumatic, learning experience.”
Admission to the exhibition is free. Groups booked to use the Auditorium between 5 January and 15 February will be able to view this exhibition as part of their workshops.
