Discover: Jewish Museum London
Jewish Museum London is excited to announce a new display taking place at Swiss Cottage Library from 7th March until 4th April. The displays will cover almost 1000 years of British Jewish history with a combination of items on show for the first time alongside old favourites, previous on display in our Camden galleries.
Separated into four distinct displays, you will see an overview of British Jewish history throughout the centuries starting with the communities set up in the City of London following the Norman Conquest, through to the expulsion of Jews in the 13th century, their readmission in the 17th Century, mass migration in the 19th Century and 21st Century Jewish life. Explore the impact of the Jewish community on London’s East End, discover items connected to Jewish festivals throughout the calendar year, and view images from the Inclusive Judaism project which includes some of the Museum’s most recent acquisitions.
