Join us for the full tale of chocolate - complete with recipes and live cooking! For more than 500 years the Jewish community has played a key role in the global chocolate trade. From the voyages of Christopher Columbus to the modern day, there has been Jewish involvement in the export and manufacture of cocoa. Delicious chocolate treats are devoured at festivals too. Is any Chanukah table complete without a showering of chocolate gelt? Or a Shabbat without chocolate babka or rugelach? Or, more oddly, did you know that every bris/brit milah in Curacao includes a celebratory hot chocolate?
