Jewish Museum London is operating as a museum without walls, as we work towards a new permanent home. In the meantime you can find us in a range of places, both in person and online.

Willesden Jewish Cemetery

Learn more about the Orthodox Jewish Cemetery in Willesden run by the United Synagogue. The first burial at Willesden Jewish Cemetery was in October 1873 and the cemetery continues to be used up until today! The Cemetery grounds have recently been listed due to its unique survival of this special site throughout the years. Many prominent members of British Jewry have been buried here, as well as other not so well known names.

Watch this video as we tour around the Cemetery and discover many stories including that of scientist, Rosalind Franklin and war hero, Vivian Silvester Moses.
