There are many different things you might find in a Jewish home. A Mezuzah might be on the front door post with a special prayer called the Shema inside. This prayer is very important because it reminds Jewish people there is only one God.

Some Jewish families follow certain rules about what they can and cannot eat. These rules are called the Kashrut (Kosher) Laws. There are many different rules and different Jewish people might decide which ones to keep depending on their beliefs. For example, some Jewish people don’t eat pork and keep their meat and dairy products separately.

Watch as this family shows us the Mezuzah on their front door and how they keep the Kashrut (Kosher) food rules at home.
