This practical two-part workshop is centered on the traditional narrative photo essay, focusing on how images can tell stories, but also place the visual essay within its historical context. Participants will develop their own work and learn skills of essay construction.

Led by Stuart Freedman, a photographer for publications such as Life, Time, Newsweek and The Sunday Times Magazine.

Includes a tour of Roman Vishniac: Rediscovered.

This event will jointly take place at the Jewish Museum London on Sunday 27 January 2019, 11am-4.30pm, and The Photographers Gallery on Sunday 10 February 2019, 11am-4:00pm.

Booking available via The Photographers Gallery website.
