Did the battles of 1918 make a real difference or did the war simply reach a natural conclusion as both sides ran out of steam? Did the armistice bring peace? These questions and others will be addressed in this talk that will explore the final year of the First World War and the role that Anglo Jewry played as the guns stopped firing and life returned to a peacetime footing.
Paula Kitching is the historian on We Were There Too project, an online resource on London Jewry in the First World War. She has recently taken on some of the education and outreach roles at AJEX, the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women.
For this event, AJEX members are entitled to a concessionary rate. Tickets include general entry into the museum.
