Join us for a tour revealing Black History and Black Jewish History in the collection.
From the role of ‘blackness’ in Holy Texts to some of the ancient Jewish communities of Africa, we will be exploring the many ways in which race is portrayed through religion.
Led by Learning Officer Shereen Hunte, you will get the opportunity to learn, see and touch some of the rare and unique objects in our collection.
This tour also feature a look at Abayudaya our latest photography exhibition, highlighting the Jews of Uganda.

In May 1940 a young Dutchman by the name of Sally Noach escaped from Belgium just days before the Nazis occupied the Low Countries. Now, nearly forty years after his death, his daughter Lady Irene Hatter has decided to retrace his steps and uncover the truth behind her father’s wartime exploits.
