Jewish Museum London’s building has now closed, but as we undertake our transition towards a future museum, you can find us in a range of places, both in person and online.
Earlier this year the museum discovered a set of over 200 membership cards relating to The Workers Circle Friendly Society in the mid-20th century. Work began to catalogue and analyse the information held within the cards; by gathering together this data into a simplified spreadsheet, we are now able to discover the ages, occupations, family sizes and social situations of society members during this time. Find out more about the project with Museum placement Lucy Lopata-Varkas in this virtual lunchtime talk, exclusively for our Volunteer Team and Friends of the Jewish Museum London.
