Sir Simon Schama, is University Professor of Art History and History at Columbia University, and Contributing Editor for the Financial Times. He is the author of 18 award-winning books including Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution; Landscape and Memory, Rembrandt’s Eyes, and two volumes of The Story of the Jews, Finding the Words and Belonging. He has made more than 50 television documentaries on art and history for the BBC and PBS, most recently, Civilizations, broadcasted last spring.
