Charlotte Salomon’s body of work featured in our current exhibition Life? Or Theatre? is a triumph of personal truth and individual expression produced during the Nazi regime. This event is part of the exhibitions ongoing programming in which you can find out more about the Holocaust, Salomon and the role art can play in mental health.
In May 1940 a young Dutchman by the name of Sally Noach escaped from Belgium just days before the Nazis occupied the Low Countries. Now, nearly forty years after his death, his daughter Lady Irene Hatter has decided to retrace his steps and uncover the truth behind her father’s wartime exploits.
