Stephanie felt that the Jewish Museum’s collection lacked the everyday stories of the Jewish individuals she herself encounter in the latter half of the 20th Century. In response, her poem summaries some of these individuals.
The Jewish Museum’s collection does indeed lack full representation of the Jewish community in Britain post 1950. Initiatives such as Collecting Inclusive Stories aims to address this.
