- Printed Certificate of Registration for an Alien (Serial no. Q 6164) with handwritten additions issued by the Metropolitan Police for Max Sochachewsky of 5 Prince George Road, Stoke Newington, dated 27 July 1916. With photograph of Sochachewsky and stamps of Metropolitan Police. On reverse is information for the holder of the certificate regarding provisions they are subject to under the Aliens Restriction (consolidation) Order, 1916, as well as handwritten list of later addresses Sochachewsky resided at.

Sheila was inspired by the stories and items relating to Jewish migrants in the early 20th century. Combining her interest with her enjoyment of textile and illustration, this led to Sheila creating these four pieces of art.
