Lord David Young of Graffham

The Jewish Museum London is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Lord David Young of Graffham. Lord Young of served as the Chair of Trustees at the Jewish Museum London from its re-opening in 2010 until 2020. During this time Lord Young firmly established the Museum at its new home in Camden, and led the Museum through countless major exhibitions and vibrant public events.

Lord Young dedicated himself to the Jewish Museum, alongside working for this company, sitting in the House of Lords, and serving many other charitable causes.

Lord Young was a generous philanthropist, and alongside his business and political career he gave so much to the organisations he supported, including directly to the Jewish Museum. His charitable positions included roles with Jewish Care, Chai Cancer Care, and the Coram Trust.

We are so grateful for the dedicated decade of leadership he gave to the Museum. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
