Acting Along to Clay

by Alice Tofts, UCL Museum Studies MA Student and Event Programmer for the Jewish Museum London’s ClayTime Late

[Editor’s note] Five students from UCL’s Museum Studies MA course are working with the museum to plan a museum late event – ClayTime – on Thursday 2 February. Over the next few months they’ll be updating our blog readers with their exciting plans for the evening – enjoy!

Clay will be the certainly be the
main attraction of the Late event ClayTime on 2 February. There will be clay based craft activities, claymation
animation, pottery demonstrations and our most recent booking is a clay
inspired theatre performance by ‘Shades of She’.

In and amongst the action, Shades of
She Theatre Company will bring a live interactive physical performance inspired
by the ‘Shaping Ceramics’ exhibition.

Shades
of She Theatre Company was founded by Nicole Bartlett and Eva Bartlett who
trained together at one of the country’s leading drama schools.

We can’t wait to see their clay shaped
performance whilst sipping wine and doing crafts.

If you are excited to see this
performance and others at our Late event, tickets are available for purchase
now on the Jewish Museum website! We hope to see you there!
