Mark Titchner art installation

Yesterday saw the installation of a new work by Turner Prize nominated artist Mark Titchner at the museum, as part of Outsidereal, an art trail organised by Camden Council which will be running until 31 October. The text pieces created for us are based on the phrase ‘Not For Self But For All’, which is a translation of Camden Council’s motto. The motto appears in the museum in both English and Yiddish, which is particularly appropriate given the proximity to the Baker’s Union Banner on display.

The Outsidereal art trail covers many different locations across Camden, including the British Museum, Camden Arts Centre and Roundhouse, and is a great way to explore the area and discover great artwork from both Mark Titchner and Simon Periton. Find out more, and download a map of the trail, here.
