A Taste of Passover Family Day

Learn about Passover by exploring the symbolism of the Seder plate and tasting the items of food associated with this festival.

  • Have a go at baking your own matzah (unleavened bread)
  • Make your own haroset (sweet paste)
  • Decorate an egg with your own design
  • Create your own sweet shankbone
  • Have a go at guessing the bitter herbs

In addition, enjoy a number of craft workshops, sensory activities and more:

  • Enjoy an interactive storytelling session with PJ Library performer Amie Taylor, who will be bringing the story Nachshon who was afraid to swim to life
  • Create your own bowl in our clay workshop
  • Decorate a ceramic plate to take home
  • Get hands on with sensory object handling

A lunch area is available from 12-2pm so please bring your own picnic or feel free to buy food in our café.
